SPEECHES
title
The contents of the item title is at the determination of the institution providing the RSS feed. We will put in examples, but they will not be normative.
We will require certain extensions for the benefit of aggregators: simple title, speaker name, and date. Speaker name will have a breakdown into a first name field, a surname field, and a name as written field.
date
Note in the application guide that the failure to include the time component in the date will result in the display as midnight in some readers. Note also the utility of providing a time zone offset.
There are two possible dates for a speech:
- release date = dc:date, denotes date for purpose of RSS feed - event date = cb:eventDate (?) - in some cases, start and end date required
Both release and event dates are required.
description
- abstract, if available
link
- URL to speech -- TBD - may be need for link to audio/video file
audience
venue
user guide note: audience and venue may be displayed by aggregators next to each other. Please ensure they are complementary, if not identical.
In the case that the venue and the audience are identical, one or the other should be omitted.
cb:speaker
